De De has not come to my house for a week already as his mum decided to send him to the childcare centre. My parents, especially my father, are feeling sad and lonely without him running around the house. They have been going to his childcare centre to peek at him.So sad but this is something babysitters have to deal with coz these children won't be coming to my house forever.

I was lying on my bed 1 night and saw a bright light coming through the window. I decided to put on my glasses and see where this light was coming from. The light was from the almost full moon. I stood by the window to look at the moon for a while. I find crescent moon the most beautiful of all. Just thin yellow slit on the sky that looks like a smile. Moon was the source of light for human being before lights were invented. Amazing how an object in such great distance can light up earth. Light has brought us convenience but it killed many nature sights. Without lights, I could see the stars in the sky easily. Without light, there is no harm to the temperature. Without lights, I would sleep early and have no eye bags. Hahaha... It would be nice to see what's on the sky when we turn off all the lights in Singapore, don't you think so?

SEX & THE CITY MOVIE

Watched the movie last night. It turned out to be much better than I expected. I did not follow the TV version. I watched as it is such a much talk about drama. The movie talks about love. Love between Boyfriend (or Manfriend) & Girlfriend, love between Husband & Wife and Sisterly love among friends. It also talks a lot about marriage. Parts of the movie really got me crying. I am reminded of incidents and I had before or now and recently. As I am writing this, I was wondering if I will be like Carrie 10 years down the road, single and preparing to get married but the groom ran away on wedding day and back to single hood again. All her life, she was searching for her "perfect love" while her friends are already married. My last single best friend will be getting married soon, so that leaves me the only single around, like Carrie!

刚刚从五月天的演唱会回来。。。心情还蛮 high 的。我非常的幸运，原本以为又要错过，可是幸运之神却送了俩张门票给我！声音快被我喊哑了。。。cough cough！还好没被骗，把相机带进去 (because the rules say no photography)，才有机会拍到我偶像的照片！等我 download 了post 在这里。

Went for a makeover @ The Makeover Inc. this afternoon. A birthday privilege from Metro. Brought my baby along of course. I was so tickled by the photographer and keep laughing and that ruined most of my solo pictures. However those pics taken with my baby turned out quite well. Will post the pics when I collect them end of the year! We chose 3 different pose and had to pay extra for that... not free afterall! : )

On Thursday, Keith was off and he made a trip to my office after I complained about my injuries from my fall in the morning. He came in to my office carrying this bag and this is the reason he came not because I "sa jiao"... kekeke. Inside the bag was this necklace which I pointed to him from the Swarovski catalog many days back. : )

Did not expect this when I signed up for the CFP course… my aim was to learn some knowledge which I can apply at work and it turn out, yes… the course increased my financial planning knowledge and also I met someone, MAYBE he is the one I have been waiting for. Our fate started on 4 Sep from a calculator question… and don’t know since which day, we have been sitting next to each other in class. Things were just normal until we started to communicate furiously through MSN and SMS. My poor phone bill this month….! Hmm… as I have always said, my ideal partner has to be tall, skinny, fair, wear specs, mature, knowledgeable, humorous, loving… (alamak! my criteria not so simple after all, kekeke…)! So does he fit my criteria??? Let me see, he is not so tall (oops! but taller than me la), fair (oops!), wear specs (aiyo…he got perfect eyesight) BUT he is mature, knowledgeable, humorous, loving & maybe able to tolerate my nonsense! We have endless conversation and we can share views & be open about anything! He thinks before he acts. More importantly, he can make me laugh! Our first date… drinks at ECP and a chat that lasted till 4.30AM by the beach after class! Oh… I must mention something he gave me a white shawl, so coincidental that cause the classroom was really cold that day. He has planned to give me the shawl but still I find him so sweet as the shawl came just in time. Our subsequent dates were spent doing revision & preparing for exam…. boring hor? Our next few dates…? Maybe will be taking up the job of an expensive Singaporean maid cause he will be moving in into his new house soon and there will be a lot of cleaning n unpacking. I shall think of my compensation package… He seems so hopeful about our future and includs me in his daily life, he seem so much more anxious about this relationship than me! I should be happy but at the same time I am also worried that this is just short-lived thingy! I hope my search can stop here and he is the one that I have been waiting for! Well…. he came into my life just b4 my 33rd birthday… what a close shave! So keeping fingers, toes & eyes crossed (hahahaaaa)… The course has ended but our journey has just began!

a serious earthquake hit sumatra last evening about 7.10pm... i was engrossed in my work... when i looked up to read from my PC, i felt i was shaking... i tot i was having dizzy spells. so i went back to my desk and told my friend who was chatting online with me just mins ago. i could not even stand properly. then i heard some noises like some things hitting against each other. so i scan the office... guess wat i saw? the blinds in my boss room was swaying lightly, tt sight frightens me! then i saw the glass doors trembling. i was thinking cant be moving air tt causes this coz the central aircon was shut down 30mins ago. i also saw the gong swinging like someone has touched it. felt like the building is gonna collapsed. i sat there with a blank mind for a few mins before i called my Daddy n Mummy. Kind of confirm those were earthquake tremours then. Quickly shut down the PCs & grab the things i think would need in case soemething serious happen & we r nt allowed to get into the office! i was still feeling shaky after i got out of office builing. in fact... the things i went through in the office stays tru' the whole evening in my mind. an experience thou.... but felt sad for the pple who hv to endure the quakes yesterday & today... hopefully no more!

10 years... it is a long time to grieve for lost of a dear friend. I will never forget the accident that took place in July 1997 at the pedestrian crossing outside emerald hill. The accident that took my dear friend's life on her first day of work and she was only 24 then! sob... sob... sob...

Yingzhen... how is life in heaven? I wanna tell you we still remember you and we still talk about you during our gathering. When I look at the photos we took in our poly days, my eyes will still tear. You are still that sweet gal with almost no temper. Remember the happy times the 5 of us spent in SP, working on assignments and projects into the wee hours and hours just before the deadline? Remember we used to take turns to squeeze into each other's house to complete our projects? Remember how much food and laughter we need in order for our brains to work? Remesmber our chalet outing in Sentosa? Remember how I used to tease you about ATM machines dispensing coins?

If the accident did not take your life, you would probably be happily married with a child or two like Siew Siew, Lay Chin and Peck Hoon. I am sure you would find your dream MAN. If the accident did not take your life, you would be around to comfort Grace when she lost Jeff in a car crash in Brisbane just weeks before you left us. Do you know Grace was badly hurt both physically & emotionally & it took her many years to get over Jeff & ur departure... If only...

STEPPING ON THE WEIGHING SCALE

It has been a long time since I stepped on the weighing scale... coz I dun wanna face the truth! hahahaaa.... My boss has a bathroom scale in her room... so I stepped on it this morning! Oh my... my weight is 55kg! I have lost like 5kg over a span of maybe 6 months! Now I know why everybody is complaining that I have lost too much weight!

My goodness... a cab driver actually asked me for my number! Went drinking with my aunt and cousins, 3 of us shared a SMART cab. I dropped my cousin's friend and my aunt befor I head home. The cabby chatted with me and it is quite normal so I talk to him. Upon reaching my home, he keep saying I am very pretty and my make-up looks good... blah blah blah! Then he asked me for my name card which I don't carry when I go clubbing! I didn't want to give him my number so I asked for his card instead. He asked me to send him a sms when I reached home which of course I didn't! He said he wants to buy me dinner. When I got down the cab, I almost ran into the lift... then I spotted he was still watching me from his cab!!!!!! My goodness... 难道。。。佛靠金装, 人靠衣装，女人靠化妆？？？哈哈哈。。

p.s. I never anyhow 放电 hor!

POTATO MILK CAKE

Woo... I love this dish! I first tried this for a X'mas party at my place in 2005. Everybody loves it!

You need:
3 Potatos
4 tablespoon Butter
300g Minced meat (can subsitute with Bacon)s
1 tablespoon Flour
1 cup Mixed Vegetables (can be found in frozen food section)
Salt & Pepper (estimate)
2 cups Flour
3 Eggs (beaten)
2 cups Breadcrumbs

How:
1 Boil potatos until the potatos turn soft
2 Remove potato skin and mashed the potato in a big bowl.
3 Add salt, pepper and butter. Mix well.
4 Stir-fry the minced meat with a little oil. Add salt and peper.
5 Pour the minced meat into the mashed potato and also add mixed vegetables. Mix all ingredients well.
6 Roll the potato into small balls (size of a ping-pong ball). Wet palms to prevent the potato from sticking.
7 Leave in fridge for an hour
8 Prepare flour, breadcrumbs and eggs into 3 different plates.
9 Roll each potato ball in sequence, 1) flour, 2) egg and 3) breadcrumbs
10 Wrap and leave in fridge.
11 Remove potato from fridge and deep-fry till brown. You may flatten the ball before putting into oil.

The potato balls must NOT be defrost. Defrosting will cause it to spilt. You can make in bigger quantity and keep frozen for about a month.

I am a big fan of 老婆饼... each time a friend or relative visits Hong Kong, the only thing I ask for is buy me 老婆饼! Whenever I see a shop selling this, I will buy and try but not one can match the HK standard. They probably have not eaten 老婆饼 before. Kind of give up searching liao... then one day I found this stall in Tampines Mall selling traditional 饼. So I tried and it turn out this one is real close to the original taste!!! If you also like 老婆饼, try out this stall! I bought 3 last nite... and I have finished all 3 today!

Dad went for a second check-up this morning. I was actually all prepared to hear the news! I mentally prepare myself for the worst news should it come and rehearsed my reactions through my mind so that I won't be caught unprepared and break down. Dad only did 1 test and the nurse sent us off and I keep asking her for the answer. She did not understand me initially and asked that we come back on Thursday. I got a bit pissed and almost raised my voice, then she realise what i am asking! SIGH!

BLACK SOY SAUCE PRAWNS

You need:

Prawns
Black Soy Sauce
Sugar

How:
1 Heat the wok with a little bit of cooking oil.
2 Put in the prawns and stir-fry until the prawns turns red.
3 Pour in black soy sauce and add in some water thick.
4 Add in sugar to balance out the salty soy sauce.
5 Lastly let the prawns simmer a little while and serve!

Bad things always happen in a pair or trio to me! The most unexpected happen to me again. I came face to face with Don in Eastpoint. He was with a gal. One look, you will be able to identify that she is his girlfriend. He saw me and he let a sound which got me stare right into his face. I quickly pick up my speed and walk as fast as I could. Thoughts ran wildly in my mind like fire. I couldn't think straight... trying to recall his number to get confirmation. WHY? I dunno, I just want to know who that gal is. No answer! I couldn't hold back my tears anymore... Tears keep flowing on the mrt platform, in the train, on the bus and all the way home!

I picked up the courage to call him and he sounded angry! I didn't expect this from him. We broke off on the understanding that he has no time for relationship. So why is he in 1 now? He lied... I was stupid to believe that he still love me and wun hurt me. Didn't he communicated months back that if 1 day he is ready for relationship again, he will come back. He dare not even tell me whether he loves this gal. SIGH! I asked him to delete my phone number and forget me but he says he wun do any of this. So wat does not mean?

He is confused and I dun want to be in this confusion. He will be out of my life... never again I will let him in, into my heart. I will remember how he had hurt me. This will be the last time he will hear from me and this is the last time I will shed tears over him!

All the while, I m closer to my Mummy than to my Dad. Deep down in my heart, I still have a little hatred for him for what he has done. I hardly see him when I was younger and this has distanced me further from him. When everybody were talking about their wonderful Father, I have to listen with a sour heart. The 6 years he was away from the family did not bridge this gap.

Yesterday, my dad was hospitalised. This is the first time in his life (if I dun remember wrongly). When I saw him lying on the bed, I realised he has aged so much. Whatever negative feelings I had for him disappeared. I should love him more and I must love him more because I only have 1 Father. Without him, I wun be here.

I had dinner with Kalyn. Kalyn is Andy's current girlfriend, who is a divorcee with 2 kids. Andy is a guy whom I know for 6 years, went steady for 6 months and I called off the relationship last September. One fine day, Kalyn called me and asked me wat is my relationship with Andy. And this is how I got to know Kalyn. Apparaently, this man is flirt, he has several woman at the same time. He doesn't destroy the proof of his unfaithfulness. Oh my... y I always end up knowing jerks??

We should be "enemies" since we like the same guy. But things did not turn up that way... we had dinner @ Thai Express for about 2 hours. We discovered that we have many things in common. We are of the same age, likse the same food, similar views etc. etc. We have kind of become friends and we will be clubbing together soon! Our next date...

My thoughts after meeting Kalyn... she is a nice girl like me. Andy is a jerk to hurt her. Wat has he done in this life and previous life to deserve a lady like that... So my friend is right... there are only 2 kinds of men on earth, one type is "Jian" and the other is "Very Jian". He belongs to the latter! Heeheee... I am glad I made the right decision to drop him. Thank GOD for that! My next date with Kalyn... clubbing together. We have a plan. We should appear in front of Andy together and see his reaction!

May 13 2007 - The 7 of us watched The Phantom of the Opera @ Esplanade Theatre. I picked up this brochure at the sistic booth:

My entry pass: I sat in Row E, seat 16. Wow... this seat was so near the stage that you get full sensory experiences. Sight, sound and smell.

Was engrossed in the show when this chandelier dropped at a fast speed above my head. My heart went "pop-pop-pop". So scare that it will hit me and I go @_@!

Although this is my 2nd time watching (1st time 12 years ago), I still enjoy the show... the props, the costumes,

No update for the past 10 days because: I AM SICK & MY COMPAQ LAPTOP IS SICK TOO!

The flu virus really knock me out... I had bad cough, runny nose and fever that attacks me every now & then! Tampines Polyclinic prescribed a BIG bottle of cough syrup & a week's of antibiotics & other medicine. I almost let out a big "HUH" when I saw that bottle of cough syrup! @ _ @

My poor computer must be infected by some "dunno-wat" virus! Simply refuse to start-up... maybe its time for it to retire and I get a new one. Any sponsor(s)? Now I can't post any photos coz all my photos are saved in the laptop! : (

This is my favourite rock band, 五月天, from Taiwan.

I like the drummer, 冠佑 (aka Ming), best among the 5. He is so cool when he plays. Actually I like 五月天 because of him! I am hoping someone would sponsor me for their concert on 2 June 2007! heheeee......!!!

A Star is Born!

On 05 May 2007, this sweet little princess is born into the family. Her name is Ashley. It means green meadows or woods. She was sleeping soundly when I visited her in Gleneagles just about 5 hours after she arrived. Her mummy and I have been waiting anxiously for her arrival for weeks. I was told the 1st born will usually be earlier than the EDD but Princess Ashley decided to leave her comfort zone to meet us on the last day. One day she will grow into a beauty and bring pride to her Daddy & Mummy! Life is a miracle...
